Combining traditional artistic practice with an endlessly inventive mind, Louise Jannetta creates an eclectic compendium of mixed media art
Louise uses a variety of techniques and media to create her artwork. She exhibits in mixed media, oils, watercolours, etchings and collagraphs, demonstrating a desire to experiment and build on her artistic experiences.
Louise is working on a series of paintings depicting trees and woodlands inspired by the landscape around her studio in Buxton in Derbyshire. She is concentrating on the patterns and textures playing with light, both within and across it. Louise achieves an almost hypnotic invitation to the mysteries and beauty of a forest, drawing the viewer into the depths of the painting with a sensitive use of atmosphere and light.

Online exhibition 'The Long Way Round'
Jannetta’s work explores mediums to relish in creative alchemy. Innovative possibilities are her playground. She refuses to be pigeonholed because the journey of discovery, ideas and exploration are the goal. In this exhibition, The Long Way Round, Louise Jannetta presents work that appears disparate but all represent stages of this journey and are linked by rhysomic threads and networks.
