Sue tells stories, responding to current events, celebrating rural life and commenting on our society. She makes her own egg tempera paint, a technique learned in Sweden where she has helped revive this form in its native place. For her, living on her family’s organic farm, this art form is as natural and organic as she can get. She see the world around her and following in ancient footsteps she interprets what she sees in the way it’s been done for centuries.
Sue loves to walk the hills and valleys around her farm in the Manifold Valley at Ilam. She wants to celebrate rural life and to express modern stories and issues, telling stories of people and their places.
