‘Derbyshire born and bred, Kim Seaton has painted from early age, being inspired by the ever-changing landscapes of Peak District. He later developed a love of horticulture and wildlife study, both of which can be seen in his work.  

Kim went on to study art and design at Derby College, before moving to Manchester for HE degree course in interior design. After graduating, Kim followed his desire to return to his roots and became a professional painter, primarily depicting the scenic landscapes of Staffordshire and Derbyshire. 

His paintings are enthused with lush undergrowth, long summer days spent on spectacular meadows, big open skies of the higher peaks and undulating topography of the local valleys. 

Kim has become known for atmospheric compositions, sensitive depiction of light, delicate observation of plants and flowers, as well as producing some compositions of local architecture.’
