SUMMARY:A Fine Line: The Art Of Drawing Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:\nAn exhibition with 13 Midlands members from the Society of Graphic Fine Art (SGFA). This exciting exhibition is a free event during the @AshbourneFestival and will emphasise the importance of drawing that underpins all other genres of painting.\nThe Society was established in 1919 to promote fine drawing skills in both traditional and contemporary media. Today there are more than 160 elected members of the SGFA across the UK — professional artists from all areas of the art world who all work in drawing and printmaking.\nNowadays in addition to black and white work and traditional drawing skills, the society encourages the use of colour and non-figurative art.\n\nAn introductory talk will be delivered by esteemed and renowned local artist, Lewis Noble at 3:00pm on the 29th.\nDrawing Workshop by Mark Lippitt: Sunday 7th July 2024, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
